Santa Barbara

The Monday after Easter we had off of school, so we were able to make a quick trip out to Santa Barbara to see my family who was staying there.  It is always beautiful to hang out by the ocean and we enjoyed our day catching up a bit.  We took an afternoon walk out on the pier for a little activity.

Easter 2015

We had a wonderful Easter celebration again this year.  Easter weekend and the weeks before are extremely busy for those involved in ministry, but so rewarding at the same time.  We are blessed to be part of a wonderful church.  Since Easter morning is so busy, I never get dressed up family pics.  Here are some shots of our later afternoon egg hunt with our friend, Matt.  (Scott was hiding the eggs, not hunting them!)  We were blessed to be included in a lunch at some friends and then relax as a family later.

Puppy Days

We recently took a trip to Visalia.  Before that trip I had heard of some friends of ours there who had puppies they were giving away.  These puppies were a mix similar to the dog we already had.  We decided to go out to the dairy and check out the puppies. This is how Shadow came to be the newest member of our family...Cobi likes having a playmate and thankfully they get along great.  Shadow is already growing quite quickly.  He is learning his name and the daily routine.  He gets so excited to see us and we love having a dog with a tail to wag.  ;-)

Go Tigers!

We spent a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the baseball fields today.  The Tigers dominated another game!  (They are now in first place!)  It was kind of a low-key game, so I thought I would take the opportunity to get some pictures. In the final innings, since we were way ahead, coach moved the boys around to get experience playing other positions.  Troy is usually at short when he's not pitching and for fun likes to catch.  He does really well and has even thrown some runners out trying to steal second base.  It was especially fun watching him catch for a boy who had never pitched before.  Troy did a great job encouraging him and helping him get through the inning.  Love that!  Looking forward to the final stretch of the season!
