A Family Get-a-way

This past week Wednesday after Scott finished his exams, we headed out on a little trip to even colder country than Michigan. We planned to help Great Grandpa Rozeboom celebrate his 90th birthday in Luverne, Minnesota. We had a great time seeing many relatives and just getting away. (Sorry these pictures are a little out of order-I'm still figuring things out!)

Grandpa's siblings and their spouses at his 90th birthday party.
The kids were excited about staying the first night at a hotel with a waterpark in Owatonna, Minnesota.
Getting cozy in the hotel.
Before heading out to Aunt Judy's in Edgerton we stopped at the Cabela's outdoor store in Owatonna.
Troy got to take his preschool class pets along on our trip.

Grandpa really enjoyed his party, but got a little tired of all the pictures!

Another Exam Week!

This is the happy look of someone who has finished two Seminary exams. Scott had his Hebrew and Preaching exams today and feels like he did well on them. Only two more to go before Tuesday!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Troy is ready for the treats at his Preschool Valentine's Day party.

Troy's preschool class at Our Savior Lutheran Preschool.

I went to Troy's preschool for their Valentine's Day party. I had to lead the Valentine Bingo game. It actually went really well and Troy was pretty impressed!

Ready to open some gifts!
Troy was wanting a shirt with numbers on it like the Calvin basketball players.

Kamryn loves the baseball style shirts.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! The kids got to open small gifts this morning before school. Troy was very excited about his first Valentine's Day party at preschool. Katie does not normally dress this way. She and her eighth grade friends were being cool (silly).

ANOTHER snow day?!

School was cancelled for the fifth day in two weeks due to the weather. We are all taking it in stride. The kids actually would rather go to school at this point! Since it was an unusually sunny day and the driveway needed to be shoveled, we all braved the cold (2 degrees!!) and went outside.

Troy is constantly shooting hoops in the hallway and is begging anyone around to play "baksetball" with me!

The computer has become a popular activity this winter.

When is SPRING around here?!

A Wintry Sunday

We have been pummeled by snowstorms during the last two weeks. We woke up to more snow, but we had a nice surprise-THE SUN!! (This is the first sunny day in February!)

We had some Visalia guests for lunch today. Becca, Lauren and Whitney came to church with us and then to our home. It was great to see them and rehash old stories! We miss our Visalia friends!

This is the scene out our front window. We have set snowfall records this winter. The kids have missed four school days in the last two weeks due to snow and bad roads. Hopefully this doesn't continue!

The local grandparents came to see Kam's last basketball game of the season. They were very supportive fans who attended many games.

Kamryn recieved a fun trophy from her coach.
