Some More Soccer

Today was a beautiful day to enjoy some soccer! Troy's team took on an upper level
team . The first half was pretty slow and we were down 3-0. After halftime, Troy took a nice shot and scored, helping his team gain momentum. The Pat's scored two more goals to end in a tie. It was pretty exciting and fun to see the team come together.
Looking forward to some great soccer ahead! Go Pateadores!

Winter Softball

Besides playing basketball this winter, Kamryn is also playing school softball. (I LOVE the fact that we can play softball outside in the winter!) This is Kamryn's third year on the team and she was chosen to be captain this year. Although many of the girls are inexperienced players, the team has done well and is headed to playoffs this coming week. Kamryn plays shortstop and has learned to pitch, filling in on the mound when needed. We love watching her games and seeing her use her God-given athletic ability!

Kamryn Plays Some Basketball

Kamryn has been playing in a rec basketball league with one of her friends. It's been a fun experiences and the girls have won all their games. Kam has grown several inches from last year and is enjoying her new height advantage! Although I haven't mastered indoor sports photography, here are some shots of Kamryn in action.

The River Staff is Awesome!

To change up the yearly church staff party, we went bowling and out for pizza this time. Kam and I missed the bowling due to her basketball game, but there are rumors going around that there may have been some bowling-while-holding-babies going on. ;) The pizza was a hit too. We are so thankful for this group of people that God has put together for this time at our church.

Calvin Comes to Redlands...Again

Over Christmas break the Calvin men's basketball team came out to play the U of Redlands. The locals are always amazed at the crowd that turns out to support Calvin. It's always a good time. It was a tough game, but we pulled it out in the end. Doug did such a nice job with prize giveaways and Katie even led a cheer. We had a reception at church afterwords, which was also a lot of fun! Way to go Calvin!

Christmas-2013

Some highlights of present-opening on Christmas Day. We managed a decent family picture on the timer. The two pics should be in reverse order...Scott stepped on Katie 's finger in his rush to get in place. :)
