Temecula Get-A-Way

Each year for my work, Scott and I are blessed with a weekend away.  It is always a great time of good food, fellowship and relaxation. This year did not disappoint.  We stayed in a beautiful hotel in Temecula surrounded by vineyards.  On Saturday Scott and I had talked about playing a round of golf.  (He would play and I would ride along.)  We found a course where he could play for a great price and we were off.  We ended up being grouped with a couple and another gentleman.  This ended up being really interesting the more we got to talking.  The couple had lived all over the world, he being presidents of several universities.  He also did his undergraduate degree at the University in our town.  His stories of how our city had changed were intriguing.  They knew the course well and had lots of advice for Scott.  The other man Scott was playing with, and his wife had driven out for the day so he could golf while his wife played the casino.  He had retired at 43 so he could "live life."  He has no children and enjoys traveling the world.  So fun hearing all their stories!  We headed back to the hotel and were surprised to observe this Indian wedding going on.  They had quite a loud procession taking everyone to where the wedding would be.  Again, such an interesting thing to observe.  Thankful for a relaxing get-a-way and happy to be home ready to take on another week!
