Wedding Weekend

Scott and I were blessed with a little weekend get-a-way to Indiana for the wedding of Mike and Tessa. They were both a part of Scott's youth group in Visalia several years ago. Scott was honored that they asked him to participate in their wedding and we were glad it worked out. It was a beautiful wedding and a wonderful time of catching up with many friends. We were pleasantly surprised to see so many familiar faces, many who made the trip from CA. It was especially fun to catch up with a group of CVC teachers who I used to teach with.

Holland Beach

We decided to head out to the beach and enjoy a beautiful day by the water. Many other people had the same idea, but there was plenty of room for everyone. Although the water was still a bit (a lot) chilly, Kam and Troy ventured in for awhile. What a great spot!

Sunset Over Langlois

We had BEAUTIFUL weather here last week. This was a sunset in our neighborhood the other evening.

Last Soccer Game

Katie played her last soccer game at Christian High tonight. It was a great game. The girls played well and passed to each other too! It's always fun to see how they come together as a team by the end of the season. They got to play their last game in the stadium which is a beautiful field. Katie had some great throw-ins, nice corner kicks, and even had a sweet goal! It was fun to watch her use her gifts on the soccer field. Some of these girls Katie has played with since we moved here in 8th grade. We hope to watch Katie continue to play soccer next year too. We'll have to see where that is, though!
Great season, Katie! Go Eagles!

Katie is known for her gigantic throw-ins. (Scott likes to take credit for working on this with her.)

Great friends.
Megan and Katie have played on teams together for three years. I have a couple of different pictures of this shot of them together over the years.
Chatting after the game.
I had to get this shot of Kam. She was asked to be the ball girl for the second half of the game and retrieve all the out-of-bounds balls to keep the game moving. It was pretty hot out there today. She was quite worn out by the end, but loved it.

A Fun Evening

We were blessed to have a visit from our friends, The Girards, yesterday. They came after school and stayed for the evening. It was a beautiful day so we could eat dinner on the deck and play outside. We decided that the visit would not be complete without a trip to our favorite ice cream spot, Jersey Junction. We enjoyed a treat and then took a walk down to the lake.

The Celebrating Continues...

After graduation we had an open house with family and some friends.

Scott's Graduation!

Yesterday was the big day! We had a beautiful day celebrating Scott's graduation from Calvin Seminary. The ceremony was held at Calvin CRC and we were blessed with nice weather. We had an open house at our home in the afternoon which was a great time of rejoicing with friends and family. We are thankful to God for a wonderful day!
This is after the ceremony. Troy was a little under the weather.
As student body president, Scott had to pray during the ceremony.
Scott being congratulated by President Plantinga.
