Fourth Festivities-2015

I was finally able to get some pictures saved to my blog.  I'll attempt a major summer update!  We had a blast hanging out at the U of R Stadium with our friends, The Barents.  Cindy is a pro at organizing such activities and we just totally benefited from her skills.  The kids played cards and ate.  The grown-ups people watched and talked.  There were sky divers and musicians.  I think this will be a tradition from now on.  Happy Fourth!

Some Late Summer Soccer

Even though the temperatures continue to soar into the upper 90's here in Southern California, summer vacation is officially over and the school year has begun.  I have been unable to coax our old computer into accepting my phone photos, so will have to throw the beginning of school pics on facebook.  I hauled my camera to Troy's soccer game today and decided to document some of those pictures on this blog.  Troy has such fun with these boys.  They play some excellent soccer and are exciting to watch.  We had to do some traveling to Orange County, but it's a fun day away.  The Pats are off to a great start with a 5-0 win over their first opponent and a tie 0-0 against a tough top tier team in their second game.  We look forward to some more fun tomorrow and hopefully a spot in the championship game.

Day at the Beach-Summer 2015

Some friends of ours invited us out to their beach house in New Port for the day.  Nothing says summer more than a relaxing day at the beach. What began as a typically overcast morning, changed to bright sun by noon.  The kids had fun messing around with boogie boards, skim boards and even got to try out surfing. Thankful for great beach days with friends!

Pats Soccer 2015

Troy has been playing on a year-round soccer team for about two years now.  He loves it!  He enjoys several sports, but soccer is his favorite.  He's worked his way to the forward position and is also the team captain right now.  I think what makes or breaks a team is the attitudes of the players and the parents we have to hang out with for hours. ;-)  In both regards, this team is great!  Looking forward to watching these boys grow up together.

 

ACA Softball Spring 2015

In checking my posts, I realized I didn't have any softball pictures up.  Kam played a strong season on her high school's varsity team. Unfortunately, her team came up shorts quite often against the big public schools in our league.  We also had some trouble with the refs being able to keep up with the games, at times. ;-)  Kam was a starter at short and loved it most days.  It was fun to watch her play!  She's looking forward to some new girls joining next season. Go Eagles!
