Today our friend Angel got to meet Jesus. Lots of people will miss him. He is in heaven, though, and is no longer dealing with physical struggles. Angel is such a brave boy and his family is amazing! These pictures were taken a couple of years ago at the beach. We got to hang out with Angel and his family after our photo shoot. This day will be one of the memories of Angel etched in my brain. Not much better than hanging out at Ruby's with a booth full of kids having a great time together!

Christmas 2014
This Christmas season brought another few busy weeks. I think we squeezed in everything I was hoping. Between school, work, hosting the church staff party at our house, small group, soccer practices, basketball practices and games, final exams, getting Katie home, seeing our renters off, decorating, getting our tree, celebrating Kristin's birthday, Youth Group, Legacy Nights at church, celebrating Kam's birthday, mailing out cards, attending school and church Christmas programs, and buying and sending gifts (phew!) - we were able to focus on the Reason for the season! Thank you Jesus for your incredible gift!
Kam Turns 15!
Kamryn Elise turned the big 1-5 this December. We had a fun day squeezing in her birthday. (Love December birthdays!) She got to open some fun presents after church and then we headed out to Orange County for some excitement. We had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory and then walked around Downtown Disney. We enjoyed checking out the lights and people there and then ate some yummy birthday binets. It was a fun adventure and extra fun celebrating another year of Kam's life. We are thankful for you, Kamryn!

Christmas Concert 2014
We were blessed by another RCS Christmas concert this evening. It is held at the University in the beautiful chapel which is the ultimate setting for a concert at Christmas. We score front row seats because Scott has been recruited to be part of the stage crew. Each year a supporter of our school chooses a theme, then purchases costumes for several men to wear as they change the stage half way through the concert. This year did not disappoint...Buddy and his elves! Guess who was Buddy? Yes, it was Pastor Scott. :-) So fun! Back to the children...Troy played beautifully in the 5th grade band. He had two big parts-a xylophone solo and a piano part in another song. He did great! We have wonderful music teachers who do such a good job with the kids. Such a neat way to celebrate Jesus' birth!

Church Christmas Program 2014
The River Christmas Program was another success! Always full of lots of cuties and talented people. Troy is in his last year in the kids choir. Here he and his buddy, Trevor, are keeping careful track of their parts. ;-) Scott and the staff did a funny skit, which showcased different staff members' personalities. (Scott seems to be holding his head in his hands quite a bit.) It was nice this year that Katie could be home to be a part of it all.
