Calvin Comes to Redlands...Again

Over Christmas break the Calvin men's basketball team came out to play the U of Redlands. The locals are always amazed at the crowd that turns out to support Calvin. It's always a good time. It was a tough game, but we pulled it out in the end. Doug did such a nice job with prize giveaways and Katie even led a cheer. We had a reception at church afterwords, which was also a lot of fun! Way to go Calvin!

Christmas-2013

Some highlights of present-opening on Christmas Day. We managed a decent family picture on the timer. The two pics should be in reverse order...Scott stepped on Katie 's finger in his rush to get in place. :)

RCS Christmas Program 2013

An annual RCS tradition is the Christmas program at the U of Redlands.
As usual, it was  a beautiful program conducted by our wonderful music teachers. The University Chapel is such a festive setting. We got to sit nice and close because Scott was once  again part of the stage crew. This year the theme for the stage crew costumes was The Robertson's from Duck Dynasty. So fun! Katie made it home the night before, so it was special to have her there.

More San Diego Fun!

Found  some more SD pics....

Kamryn Turns 14

On December 21st, we got to celebrate a wonderful young woman who is our daughter, Kamryn. Kam is godly, thoughtful, and athletic. She gets excellent grades and is a force in athletics. Kam enjoys volleyball, softball and basketball. She is captain of her school softball team this year and is looking forward to the start of basketball. She is on student council and enjoys youth group at church.
To celebrate we went go-carting and out for dinner at a steak place-Kam's favorite.
Kam's sweet friend, Casandra came with us.
Kamryn, we thank God for you! (I am, however, now a little worried about you getting your driver's license in a couple years after watching you on the race track. ;)

San Diego Get a Way

My parents treated us to a wonderful time at a beautiful hotel in San Diego just after Christmas. We had a relaxing time soaking up some sun, enjoying the pool and hot tubs, and making new friends (Troy). We missed Dan and Nesha and the kids, but still had a great time. Thanks, mom and dad!
